Viewpoints
Viewpoints are short position papers (2500-5000 words) intended to
present perspectives on issues of interest to linguists working in the areas
of Hispanic and Lusophone linguistics. When possible, multiple Viewpoints,
taking different positions on the same issue, will be published together.
Suggestions for issues to be addressed by Viewpoints, as well as offers to
write a Viewpoint paper on a particular issue, are welcome. Offers from
multiple linguists, each proposing to express a different perspective on a
single issue, are particularly encouraged.
State of the Discipline
State of the Discipline papers will generally be invited. However, if you are
interested in writing a State of the Discipline article on a particular, narrowly
defined sub-area within Hispanic and Lusophone linguistics, you may
express such interest to the editor.
Dissertation Notices
Recent Ph.D.'s are welcome to submit dissertation notices containing the
title of the dissertation, a short description of the dissertation (max. 500
words), their name, the name(s) of their advisor(s), the name of the
degree-granting institution, and the year the degree was granted.
